Vampbüren is our participation in the Büren Carnival – together as vampires.
This time with a simple choreography and matching costumes.

Refreshing drinks and small snacks welcome the first guests as they arrive.
Our Blood Bar and Kids Bar come to life — every creature will find the perfect potion.
Capture your first memories in the photo booth,
or discover your place among the eternal on the Ancestry Wall.
The guestbook awaits your mark,
so future nights will remember you.
For little and grown-up players, a game corner is ready,
while the DJ awakens the atmosphere with mystical sounds of the night…

Once everyone has arrived, we welcome you with a short speech
and reveal the secrets of the night:
The program will be introduced,
and the mysterious InDUCKtrination game will begin…
With the opening of the buffet, the feast starts in the main hall —
time to regain your strength before the night shows its true power.
When the hunger fades,
the music calls:
The first dance round fills the hall,
followed by the first guided vampire dance — led with elegance by Stefu.
Our DJ sets the perfect mood with the first dance & party set,
and afterwards the music will flow freely —
guided only by the energy of the night. 🦇🎶
New Year’s Rituals – 23:30
🎆 When the Night Kisses the New Year – from 23:30
Before the old year says farewell,
we gather for a short speech with all you need to know about our New Year’s rituals.
Then we step outside into the cool night air:
A shared toast, small sparks rising into the sky —
sparklers, tiny fireworks, and maybe a playful table bomb or two.
And then… a very special tradition from Ecuador begins:
The suitcase run around the house —
a symbolic farewell to the old,
and a joyful sprint toward new fortune.
Who knows… maybe speed will truly bring luck this time. 🧳✨
The night will laugh.
And the New Year will laugh with it. 🥂🌙
🧳 The Suitcase Ritual – La Maleta
In Ecuador, La Maleta is a beloved New Year’s tradition for anyone wishing for travel and adventure in the coming year.
It takes place right after the midnight toast.
🔄 How the Ritual Works
The suitcase:
You take a suitcase or a backpack. Some traditions say it should be empty,
others fill it with items that represent the kind of trip they want —
like sunscreen or swimwear for a beach holiday.
The route:
With your luggage in hand, you run once around the block.
If that’s not possible, running through the house, the garden,
or just up and down the street also works!
Extra luck:
Some people put coins or cash into the suitcase
to make sure the trip happens — and that there’s enough money
for good hotels too.
✨ Meaning
The ritual is a symbolic way to invite future travels.
By physically stepping outside with luggage,
you send a message to fate:
“I am ready for the next journey.”
So in Ecuador, just after midnight,
you’ll often see laughing families running through the streets,
suitcases in hand — chasing their next adventure.
Maybe this year,
fortune will run with you. 🧳🌍✨
Vampire Ball – from 00:30
🧛♂️ The Grand Presentation – where vampires earn their names
Shortly after midnight, we gather to honor the guests of the night.
No Vampire Ball can begin without introducing the creatures of darkness in all their glory!
To make sure our herald can announce you with the right legend, a fantastic name,
and a fun little story from your eternal existence, we kindly ask you to prepare:
📝 Create your vampire identity:
• Name of your Charakter
• Origin (hidden crypt? cursed castle? ancient forest?)
• A short story or amusing secret from your undead life
Please bring this text handwritten or printed
and give it to Sina or Flurina upon arrival.
Our herald will then read it aloud
as you enter the Vampire Ball.
⚜️ Midnight Ceremony Schedule
🕛 00:15 — Preparation for the presentation
The organizers collect the final names,
and the procession order is set.
🕧 00:30 — Opening of the Vampire Ball
You will be presented one by one —
with dramatic music, applause,
and immortal elegance.
Then follows the grand guided vampire dance with Stefu:
A ritual of unity — in blood, rhythm, and grace.
After that, the night belongs to our DJ,
who will carry us forward with selected vampire ball music…
until no feet can dance anymore.

Duration: Until midnight
🎯 Objective
Cult Candidates:
Stay unseen while performing your Ducktivity.
Non-Believers:
Catch a Cult Candidate in the act.
📌 Rules
• Non-Believers may accuse only once
• Cult Candidates must tell the truth if caught
• Lying is allowed if accused at the wrong moment
• Game masters decide in case of doubt
• Eliminated players must not continue helping

Game Masters:
Marco, Flu, Sina
Two player groups:
• Cult Candidates
• Non-Believers
The game masters determine how many Cult Candidates there are.
Roles are assigned randomly by drawing slips.
🎯 Game Objective
Cult Candidates
must complete their Ducktivity secretly
— without being discovered.
Non-Believers
try to catch them in the act.
The game ends shortly before midnight.
Then the game masters will announce the results.
🦆 What is the Ducktivity?
Each Cult Candidate is assigned a Vampire Duck
marked with a Roman numeral.
Your mission:
1️⃣ Secretly locate your duck in the room
2️⃣ Quietly hang it on the Christmas tree
— without being noticed
⚠️ The tree must not be damaged!
Stay hidden. Stay clever. 🦆😈
🧛 Cult Candidates – Detailed Rules
• Report secretly to the game masters
→ They will reveal your Ducktivity
• Perform your Ducktivity before the end of the game
→ Stay unnoticed!
🩸 If you are caught in the act:
→ You must tell the truth
→ You give your role slip as proof
→ Your cult initiation has failed
😈 If you are accused but not during your Ducktivity:
→ You may lie
→ You remain in the game
All successful Cult Candidates
will receive a Duck Idol as their prize 🦆✨

👁 Non-Believers
• Do not know what the Ducktivity is
• Observe carefully — only one accusation allowed
🎯 Three possible outcomes:
1️⃣ Correct accusation
→ You catch a Cult Candidate in the act
→ You keep their role slip as proof
→ You receive a Duck Idol as your reward 🦆✨
2️⃣ Wrong accusation
→ You are out of the game
→ No more accusing or helping others
3️⃣ Half-wrong accusation
→ You accuse a Cult Candidate but not during their Ducktivity
→ They may lie and deny it
→ You are still out of the game

🛌 Accommodation – those who sleep, stay among us
For all who prefer to remain among the undead after the Vampire Ball,
there is a cozy group sleeping area inside the venue.
Showers are available as well —
so you can start the new day refreshed and mostly blood-free. 😉
There are also a few additional sleeping spots in Büren an der Aare,
offered by local allies of the night.
If you need a place to sleep — or if you can host someone —
please contact Sina, Flurina, or Marco early enough.
This way, the night stays long…
and the morning won’t hurt. ✨🦇
